Saona Island Beach Tour
Saona Island Beach Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Juan Dolio between 7 and 9 am. From there, we'll set off towards Bayahíbe, where we'll take a boat to the dreamy island of Saona.
On the way to the island, we'll stop at the beautiful beach of La Palmilla, a paradisiacal nook of Cotubanamá National Park. Here, we'll have some time to swim and enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean. Then, upon arrival at Saona Island, we'll visit the beaches of La Caleta and Mano Juan, where we'll have free time to relax and take in the postcard-worthy landscapes until lunchtime.
Hungry? For lunch, we'll have a traditional meal by the sea. Our delicious meal will include rice, meat, salad, pasta and a soft drink.
After refuelling, we'll go on a stroll through the town of Mano Juan. We'll visit its famous wooden houses and the sea turtle conservation center, where an experienced team helps with the hatching and care of newborn turtles.
Next, we'll make our way to the beach and lagoon of Los Flamencos, a turquoise body of water where you can take a relaxing dip in the sea. After a nice swim, we'll get back on the boat to tour the mangrove area, where you'll get to see a variety of black, red, white and button mangroves. You can even jump off the boat to get a closer look at the tropical fish and swim to look for the famous starfish that inhabit these waters.
Back on board, we'll toast with a cocktail with delicious Dominican rum, cheers! Arrival at your hotel in Juan Dolio at the conclusion of the tour is scheduled for sometime between 5 and 6:30 pm.
