Los Haitises National Park Tour
Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio at the indicated time, we'll set off to our destination: Los Haitises National Park.
After an hour and a half drive, we'll arrive at the Sabana de la Mar dock. We'll have a breakfast of coffee, fruit, and sandwiches and then board a speedboat that will take us to San Lorenzo Bay and its famous mangroves. We'll then visit the caves of Los Haitises to see its amazing indigenous petroglyphs and impressive karst rock formations.
Now that we've worked up an appetite, we'll head to Cueva de la Arena beach or Caño Hondo (depending on availability). You'll have free time to swim in the natural pools of Caño Hondo or on the beach.
Finally, at 2:30 pm, we'll board the boat again to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of Los Haitises National Park and, if we're lucky, spot the dolphins that inhabit this area of the Dominican Republic while we return to your hotel.
