Bayaguana Day Trip
Bayaguana Day Trip
From 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio. We'll then set off by bus to discover the history of the region and the beautiful town of Bayaguana.
We'll take the road from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, admiring typical Dominican villages along the way. At 9:30 am, we'll stop at a sugar cane field, see the crops and taste a piece of freshly cut sugar cane. Delicious!
Afterwards, we'll head to the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, which dates back more than 400 years. Later, we'll head to the local market to stroll among the stalls and get to know all about the local products and the typical dishes of the people who live here.
We'll then visit an artisan cigar factory, where we'll learn how the tobacco plant is treated and turned into the final product! We'll also visit a school and a local house to learn more about the area's customs and traditions.
At around 12:30 pm, we'll arrive at the famous Salto Alto Waterfalls, where we'll enjoy a refreshing swim and relax in a unique natural environment. Afterwards, we'll make our way to Rancho Salto Alto to enjoy a delicious Dominican buffet lunch.
At the end of the day trip, we'll return to Juan Dolio and drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
