At the indicated time,we'll meet at Lake Jökulsárlón, located in the south of Iceland. From this point, we'll hop into an off-roading Jeep to Breiðamerkurjökull, one of the main entrances to the Vatnajökull glacier. We'll enter the glacier to start the trekking route, which will run for a stretch of 2 kilometres (1.2 miles). This hike will depend on the weather conditions, the season and the size of the group.
We'll walk under the natural ice arch that has been formed by the glacial river. Once inside the cave, we'll touch the crystalline blue ice on the walls of the cave, a natural work of art! We'll be inside the cave for 45 minutes.
After this unforgettable immersive experience in the cave, we'll return to the same entrance through which we entered the cave. From this point, we'll return in the off-roading vehicle to the meeting point, where we'll conclude this activity after a total of 2 hours.
