Krüger House + Ango Kersten Farm Tour
Description
At the scheduled time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Joinville and make our way north to the Krüger House. The minibus journey will take around 20 minutes.
Once we've arrived at our destination, we'll begin to learn about the history of Wally Krüger's House. This building, dating from 1925, sits where in years passed sugarcane and corn would have been harvested. An excellent example of German-Brazilian architecture, the building has been catalogued as a National Historic Site.
Before leaving the Krüger House, we'll see different photographs, outfits and utensils from the time and learn about German immigration into the state of Santa Catarina in the last century.
The next stop of the day will be at the Ango Kersten farm. Here, we'll learn about rural life on the outskirts of Joinvulle. For this, we'll take a tractor ride among the farm's vegetable and fruit crops. Moreover, we'll be able to see the geese and other animals that live on the farm.
Afterwards, we'll go to a colonial-style restaurant to enjoy an exquisite buffet filled with local delicacies. With our bellies filled, and after 7 hours of activities, the tour will come to an end back at the hotels.
