At the appointed time we'll meet at the Arts On Main arts center. Ready to check out the streets of Maboneng? On this tour, we'll get to see a different side of Johannesburg by admiring the city's most colorful murals.
Did you know that Johannesburg is recognized globally as one of the rising centers of urban art? Throughout the visit, we'll see some of the world's best street art. You're sure to recognize some of the artists who created them - you'll find out who on the day of the tour!
As we stroll through the Maboneng Precinct and Jewel City, we'll come to understand why South Africa has long been recognized for its modern art. We'll take you to see the different art spaces and explore the cultures of Johannesburg, the artists, their motivations, and the techniques they use in their work.
We'll stop in front of the murals to learn the artists' intention behind each piece - an artistic tour that will broaden your perspective of these local communities!
