Quilombola Community & Barra de Gramame Beach Tour
Between 7:15 and 7:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in João Pessoa and head towards the Quilombola community of Mulheres Negras do Campo.
Upon arrival, we'll learn all about this Afro-descendant population dedicated to the cultivation of yams, cassava and sweet potato. We'll learn about the origins of the members of this community and how members were brought as slave labour in the 16th century up to the present day. We'll also see the planting techniques and the mills they use to make manioc flour.
We'll then visit the beach where the Gramame River flows into the Atlantic Ocean, where you can take a dip in fresh and saltwater and swim in this amazing spot!
Afterwards, we'll stop at the Andreza River and, if you feel like it, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch cooked in a wood cooker. Enjoy your meal! With your batteries recharged, we'll go to Shopping Rural, a place where you can try some of the region's typical homemade sweets.
To put the finishing touch to this unforgettable excursion, we'll go to the Dedo de Deus viewpoint to see Coqueirinho beach from a unique perspective. You won't stop taking pictures!
Finally, between 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm, we'll take you back to your hotel in João Pessoa.
