Masada and the Dead Sea Tour
Tour of Masada and the Dead Sea
After collecting you from your chosen meeting point at the indicated time we'll head to the Israeli desert, passing through the Judean Hills and the Inn of the Good Samaritan.
Next it's on to the imposing Masada fort - which the Romans unsuccessfully besieged for many months. For us, it'll be a little easier to gain access, as we'll ascend in the Masada cable car known as the Cableway.
At the summit, we'll learn all about the history of the ancient inhabitants who decided to commit suicide rather than surrender to the invader. We'll also visit the remains of the synagogue which the Roman troops tried to destroy.
After a free lunch, in the afternoon, we'll relax and unwind by floating on the waters of the Dead Sea. We'll also be able to read a book or magazine while you gently drift along the surface of this grand expanse of salty water.
After this unique experience on the waters of the Dead Sea, we'll head back to the bus and begin our journey back to Jerusalem, putting an end to the excursion at about 6:30 pm.
