Caesarea, Haifa, Acre, and Rosh Hanikra Trip
We'll collect you from the chosen meeting point at 5:50 in the morning before heading to the northern coast of Israel.
The ancient Roman city of Caesarea, named in honour of the emperor Augustus, will be our first stop on the tour. We will visit the open-air amphitheatre which was built some 2000 years ago and today functions as a concert venue for internationally renowned artists. Our route then continues to the columns of Herod’s Palace, which offers some magnificent views of the Mediterranean. We will also see the Roman chariot race track and aqueduct to really get a feel of what society in that era was like.
Continuing north, we arrive at the Mount Carmel mountain range. At the foot of the mountains, you will smell the exotic fragrances of the Terraces of the Bahá'í Faith, which are commonly known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa. The next stage in our tour is Rosh HaNikra, where we'll take the funicular railway up to their stunning grottoes - enormous caves in the seafront cliffs which run along the border from Israel and Lebanon.
In the afternoon we will travel to Acre to admire the blue and white tones of the El-Jazzar Mosque, the largest in northern Israel. Before returning to Jerusalem, we will explore the Templar Tunnels of the old city, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The tour comes to an end back at the start point at approximately 3:50 pm.
