Horse Riding in Jamao al Norte
At 9 am we'll pick you up either from your hotel or from Calle Sánchez. We'll hop on the minibus and drive to a beautiful nature spot in the outskirts of the city, from which we'll start our horse riding activity around Jamao al Norte.
First of all, we'll give you the helmets and talk briefly about how to ride the horses. We'll then start trotting next to the Yasica River and observing the lush vegetation endemic to this area. After 20 minutes of horse riding, we'll stop next to a crystal clear water pool to taste two typical food products: locally made cheese and rodao, a type of biscuit.
We'll get back on our horses and ride for 2 hours into the Dominican Republic's dense forests where we might see hummingbirds, woodpeckers and nightingales. At around 12 noon, we'll make a stop at a riverside community for a lunch of rice, beans, chicken, salad and drinks.
After lunch, we can continue riding the horses or you can have some free time to take a refreshing dip. It'll then be time to say goodbye to the horses and return to the pick up point in Jamao al Norte at 2 pm.
