After meeting at Jaisalmer Fort at the scheduled time, you'll begin your gastronomic walking tour of the city centre. As you stroll through the winding alleyways of the Golden City, so-called for its stunning yellow sandstone architecture, you'll learn about the tradition and history behind Indian cookery, and its significance in the subcontinent's culture.
Throughout your route, you'll try various different dishes that are typical of the Rajasthani city of Jaisalmer, including samosas, the triangular-shaped pastry pouches stuffed with spicy potato and vegetables; pakwan, a crisp fried bread; kachori, a spicy filled dumpling; dal bati, a type of fried bread accompanied by lentils; and sweet treats like gothua laddu.
