Having picked you up from your hotel in Izola at 9 am, we'll drive to Socerb, a traditional Slovenian village full of history and intriguing stories.
After approximately 20 minutes' drive, we'll reach Socerb and start walking around its castle, one of the town's most important landmarks. This medieval fortress is located in the highest part of the town and offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Trieste.
We'll continue discovering Socerb by entering the Holy Cave, an underground sanctuary where we'll learn about the history of Saint Servulus.
The next stop of the day will be in Hrastovlje. Here we'll visit the Church of the Holy Trinity, a 13th century church surrounded by an impressive wall, inside which you will see the famous fresco of the Danse Macabre, or "Dance of Death".
We'll return to the minibus and travel to the last destination of the day: Marezige, the perfect place to discover Slovenia's tradition of wine and olive growing. We'll visit a local farm to taste locally-produced olive oil accompanied by typical snacks. Delicious!
We'll then start our way back to Izola. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for approximately 5 pm.
