On this tour to the Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, you'll discover two of Slovenia's most magical sites. Legends, rock formations, and even dragons await you.

Postojna Cave + Predjama Castle Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Izola at 9 am and we'll drive Northeast past the Slovenian border to reach the Postojna Cave. Did you know it's considered one of the most beautiful caves in the world? We'll find out why that is soon enough!

After approximately an hour, we'll reach Postojna and venture inside this karst cave. We'll admire the different rock formations created over the years - you'll see stalagmites that are 5 meters long!

And to complete this visit, we'll continue exploring the cave on a little train that will take us to areas not accessible on foot, and we'll see the Murano glass chandeliers and even a ballroom. Another one of the highlights of this visit is the olms, also known as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Our next stop after our visit to Postojna? It'll be Predjama Castle, a unique Slovenian medieval fortress perched on a cliff. We'll venture into this castle full of legends and incredible stories, such as the tale of Erasmus of Predjama, also referred to as the Slovenian Robin Hood.

After exploring the castle's rooms, we'll head back to Izola and drop you off at your hotel around 2 pm, ending the tour.
