Izmir Food Tour
Izmir Food Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet next to the Clock Tower, one of the city's most emblematic monuments. There we will enjoy a delicious Turkish tea while we talk about the importance of this site.
Then, we'll walk through the streets of Izmir towards our next gastronomic stop, admiring monuments like the Yalı Mosque, the National Library and the Opera House along the way. Surrounded by monuments, you'll get to taste some traditional Turkish pastries of all kinds: almond, walnut, peanut... You choose!
After satisfying your sweet tooth, you'll try one of the country's most typical dishes, börek. In addition to enjoying the taste of this savory filled pastry, you'll get to see how they are prepared.
On the next stop on our culinary tour, we'll cleanse our palate with a fruit sorbet. Then, we'll have Turkish pickles and some delicious (and addictive) Turkish ravioli.
Next, you'll treat your taste buds to the exotic flavors of Turkish-style pizza. And of course, no food tour of Izmir would be complete without eating a couple of koftes, the country's traditional meatballs.
After these last tastings, we'll take a stroll to the historic shopping area of Kızlarağası Hanı, where we'll enjoy some traditional Turkish coffee - the perfect finishing touch to this gastronomic tour!
At 3:30 pm, the tour will come to an end at this traditional market.
