Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion
Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion
At 8:30 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Itajaía to start this journey through Brazil's Italian past. The first stop will be in the town of São João Batista, located in the valley of the Tijucas River.
This municipality is especially known for its shoe production - it's home to more than 150 shoe factories! During the visit, we'll have the opportunity to visit a local market, where you can see firsthand the high quality of its products.
Next, we go to Nova Trento, another of the pillars of Italian culture in Brazil. We'll climb the Morro da Cruz, where we'll find the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Bom Socorro. From this vantage point located at an altitude of 525 meters, we'll also enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the region.
We'll continue discovering the Italian side of Brazil by going to a restaurant with typical cuisine so you can have lunch on your own. Then, after refueling, we visit the Shrine of St. Paulina, built in honor of Brazil's first saint. The next stops will be at a traditional winery, where we'll taste some regional varieties, and at a chocolate shop to sweeten the palate.
At the end of this visit, we'll travel to Brusque, where we'll leave you free time to stroll around the more than 200 stores of the Feira da Moda. If you're looking for a nice souvenir of your trip, this is the place to be!
We'll end the tour by taking you back to your hotel in Itajaí, where we'll arrive at around 5:30 pm.
