Meet us at Ünver Galata Apart, near Galata Tower, as we step into the venue that sets the stage for our Turkish coffee workshop in Istanbul.
Once we're all settled in, we'll learn the proper way to prepare a Turkish coffee over sand. This singular method may seem curious initially, but throughout the workshop, uncover its secret techniques, culminating in a delicious brew. Our experienced coffee expert will provide all the necessary materials and guide us in trying this unique process.
Among the various tools we'll need, one noteworthy piece is the cezve. This traditional Turkish coffee pot, typically made of copper, allows the coffee grains to boil in the water, the key to a true Turkish coffee cup. Once boiled, all that's left to do is serve and enjoy!
Following a demonstration and a glimpse into the history of Turkish coffee, everyone will have the opportunity to personally craft their own cup. A selection awaits you as you choose from three distinct types of coffee grains. Opt for the aromas that most appeal to you, or perhaps indulge in a blend of the three varieties for a customized and unique coffee experience.
The final part of our activity includes a Turkish coffee tasting of the different brews created during our hands-on experience. As a memorable takeaway, each participant will receive a coffee set comprising a cezve, cup, coffee grounds, and a delectable Turkish sweet. This way you'll always be able to enjoy Turkish coffee at home!
