Meet us at Dsign Cafe, where we'll walk just a few minutes to arrive at the Blue Mosque. Is anybody up for getting to know one of Istanbul's top attractions?
Once we've all gathered together, we'll enter one of Constantinople's most beautiful and famous monuments: the Blue Mosque. The complex offers many different spaces to explore, and we'll start with a stroll through the breathtaking courtyards. As we walk through this area, we'll delve into the history behind the so-called Sultan Ahmet Camii. For example, we'll discuss how the affectionate nickname "Blue Mosque" came about.
Throughout our tour, we'll see over 20,000 hand-crafted ceramic tiles that decorate the interior, lending the complex its signature blue hue. We'll also further discuss this mosque's religious importance within the Islamic world and uncover the architectural technique used to create the building under the orders of Sultan Ahmed I between 1609 and 1616.
Moving onto different aspects of the mosque, we'll turn our eyes to the pillars and minarets of the Blue Mosque, decorated with flowers and gold. A truly breathtaking view to behold!
Then, after 1 hour and 15 minutes immersing ourselves in the beauty of the Blue Mosque, we'll bring our tour to an end back at the starting point.
