On this 2-day trip to Cappadocia, you'll fly from Istanbul to one of Turkey's most famous sites, which you'll no doubt absolutely adore!

Itinerary

Day 1

You'll be collected from your hotel in Istanbul and dropped off at the airport, where you'll board your flight to Cappadocia. After landing in Kayseria or Neveshir airport, you'll be welcomed to this most magical region of Turkey.

Your tour of Cappadocia will begin with a hike through the beautiful Kizilcukur Valley. Here you'll be able to take in the impressive landscape and unique rock formations. After this, you'll then visit the picturesque town of Cavusin, known for its traditional architecture.

Your next stop will be at a local restaurant, where you'll eat at your own pace and try some Turkish food.

That evening, you'll explore the underground city of Kaymakli, an ancient structure used by Christian communities for protection against invaders. It's said that it could accommodate up to 3000 people at one time! There you'll see the stables, a church, great halls and small family bedrooms.

The day will end with a meal at the hotel where you'll be staying.

Day 2

The second day will begin with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. After this, you'll tour the impressive Goreme Valley, known for its Fairy Chimneys and stone churches lined with paintings from the 10th and 11th centuries.

The tour will continue with a stop at the Uçhisar cave town, where an impressive landscape can be seen, full of alien-like rock formations. You'll also get to see the scenery of Avcilar.

Following on from this, you'll visit the Derbent Valley, known for its rather curious natural formations. What's more is that you'll also have the opportunity to visit a selection of artisan workshops where you'll be walked through the process of how Turkish carpets and precious stone jewellery, like that of the Onyx, are made.

At the end of the trip, you'll be brought back to the airport in time for your return flight to Istanbul. Once there, you'll picked up and brought back to your hotel.

Timetable

Please keep in mind that the pickup hours from your hotel in Istanbul will be between 5 am and 6 am, however, this can change depending on the season. On the day before the trip, once your tickets for your flight have been issued, the exact pickup time will be confirmed as well as the flight time.
