Private Tour of Isfahan
Private Tour of Isfahan
Travellers who set out on the long Silk Road had one particular place marked out on their map: a pearl that couldn't be missed. To begin discovering how and why Isfahan became one of the largest and most important cities in Central Asia, we'll pick you up from your hotel in the Iranian city at 9 am. The first stop on our private tour? One of the most beautiful palaces in Isfahan: Chehel Sotoun.
While the architecture of the pavilion, whose name means "Forty Columns", is truly lovely, what will really captivate you are the stunning Persian gardens that surround the building. After this enchanting introduction to Isfahan, our private tour will continue deep into the heart of the city, to Naghsh-e Jahan Square, also known as Imam Square. Like Chehel Sotoun, the plaza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We'll take a walk around this large square to visit the important monuments and landmarks located here. The Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, the Ali Qapu Palace and the Shah Mosque are three architectural icons that are essential for learning about the art, history and culture of Isfahan!
The next stop on our private tour of Isfahan will be at one of Iran's most popular tea shops: Chah Haj Mirza Tea House. Treat yourself to some of their famous sweets and teas! We'll then head over to the Grand Bazaar, an iconic market where shoppers can find almost anything imaginable. At 3 pm, the tour will come to an end and you'll be dropped back off at your hotel.
