On this private excursion to Cueva de Sucre we'll go deep into the volcanic depths of Isabela Island. On this route we'll walk through a cave surrounded by Galapagos wildlife.
Cueva de Sucre Private Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel on Isabela Island at the indicated time to head towards the Galapagos National Park, the most important protected natural area of this Ecuadorian archipelago.
Within this area, we'll go to the so-called Agricultural Zone, where a 480-metre (1574 feet) ecotourism trail crosses a strip of vegetation typical of the tropical rainforest.
We'll follow this route until we reach the Cueva de Sucre, a lava tunnel that goes deep into the earth and can be accessed by steps.
Then, we'll explore this cave and learn about the volcanic process that led to its formation. Inside the cave, we'll also find different types of native flora such as ferns, and at the end of the trail we'll visit a nursery of native plants of Isabela Island.
After a four hour tour, we'll return by the same route and the vehicle will pick you up to take you back to your hotel.
