Monkey Island Day Trip
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in the centre of Iquitos or at the airport, and we'll head to the pier. Here, we'll board a boat and start this day trip to Monkey Island. Are you ready for a day surrounded by nature?
We'll sail peacefully down the Itaya and Amazon Rivers, the perfect route to discover the secrets of these waters and to admire their rich flora and fauna.
Then, we'll visit a native tribe who will show us their dances and customs, to learn about their style of life.
After 2 hours of sailing, we'll reach Monkey Island, officially called Isla Rolling, a project created to care for and allow the numerous primate species to recover before later returning them to their natural habitat.
Here, we'll explore the island on foot as we learn all about the various monkey species. We'll also be able to interact with them and give them food. You'll love these cute animals! Before returning to the boat, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch.
Finally, we'll sail back down the Amazon and Itaya rivers and end this day trip at your hotel in Iquitos after 6 hours exploring Peru's nature.
