Ayahuasca Ceremony in Iquitos
Ayahuasca Ceremony in Iquitos
This experience in Iquitos will start at 8 pm at the meeting point on Calle Contamana. When you get there, we'll accompany you to the lodge where we'll settle in to wait for the spiritual guide or shaman.
Since ancient times, Peru's Indigenous Peoples have made use of the healing properties of ayahuasca to solve their physical and emotional problems. The influence of this medicinal plant helps to release traumas, purify body and mind and connect with our inner self, helping to overcome our deepest fears.
The shaman will begin with a reading of coca leaves, after which they'll start the purification ceremony. This is an essential step, as participants must remove any negative energy from their bodies before drinking the ayahuasca.
After ingesting this drink, you'll have a short period of time to meditate. The shaman will then continue the ritual with prayers to the Pachamama, which is the Peruvian name and representation of Mother Earth. This part of the ceremony is so we can reach a balance between us and nature.
Once this part of the ceremony has finished, we'll meet again so the spiritual guide can help you to understand the effect the Ayahuasca has had. While most people don't experience visions during the ceremony, patience and determination will lead you to a more visionary state afterwards.
Feeling renewed and liberated of negative energy, our experience will come to an end at midnight back at the starting point.
