Amazon 2 Day Tour
Day 1
We will depart from Iquitos at 9 am before heading to the banks of the Amazon, the largest river in the world. We will board the boat which will take us on a trip along the waters that run through the dense rainforest, the largest on the planet. Along the way, you will discover a variety of amazing wildlife and plants.
Arriving at the Nanay River, you will witness a spectacular natural phenomenon - the waters here are constantly changing color. If we are lucky, we will also see some of the amazing pink dolphins that inhabit the jungle.
Our animal adventure continues at the lizard farm, where we will also see piaches. On this tour, we will discover all the details about this fish, which can reach up to 10 ft long.
Around 1:30 pm, we head to the banks of the Amazon River, where we will find our two-story lodge made with materials from the jungle. Once there, we will enjoy a good rest and regain our strength by eating a complete menu.
At 3 pm, we set off again to visit the native Yagua people who survive on agriculture, fishing, and hunting. We will discover all about their way of life, their rites, and their beliefs. Our guide will provide you with the answers to all your questions.
We will return to the cabin complex at 5 pm for another break and dinner. Later we will take a fun night walk to hear all the wonderful sounds created by the birds and insects.
After the hike, we will spend the night in the heart of the Amazon jungle.
Day 2
We will leave the house first thing in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Amazon (around 5 am). Watching the rays of color filter through the dense jungle as the sun rises is a memory that will be hard to forget.
