La Cocha Lagoon & La Corota Island Excursion
La Cocha Lagoon & La Corota Island Excursion
We'll pick you up at 9 am at Parque Santander in Ipiales. From there we'll set off toward La Cocha Lagoon, the second-largest lake in Colombia.
We'll first visit the town of El Puerto, where we'll see its beautiful Swiss-style wooden houses. Then we'll go to the private residence of a local family - who better to guide us through the area?
Members of the family will show us their home garden and organic crops, after which we'll share a delicious typical lunch that includes vegetable soup, trout fillet, and a typical dessert of the region.
After lunch, we'll say goodbye to the family and return to the shores of the lake, where we'll embark on a peaceful boat ride on La Cocha Lagoon. We'll sail to the green and exuberant La Corota Island, where we'll walk along a path that will allow us to see the wide variety of native flora and fauna.
At the end of the tour of La Corota Island, we'll sail back to the embarkation dock. Then, after a refreshment of either tea or natural juice, we'll return by road to the meeting point in Ipiales, arriving at 7 pm.
