Alpenzoo Entrance Ticket + Innsbruck Cable Car
With this ticket to the Alpenzoo, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful zoo where alpine species cohabit. Here you can admire bears, wolves, elks, bison, snakes, tortoises and up to 150 different species.
Did you know that this Austrian zoo was a pioneer in introducing endangered species? They are in charge of preserving the survival of the Alpine ibex, the bearded vulture and the northern bald ibis. It also has the world's largest freshwater aquarium, which houses bream, pike, grayling and pearlfish, among others.
Innsbruck-Hungerburg Cable Car
The funicular from Innsbruck to Hungerburg will take you to the Alpenzoo station in just a few minutes. Just head to Rennweg to board the funicular.
With a ticket for this alpine tram, you can also ride up to the Hungerburg station and see this masterpiece designed by the prestigious architect Zaha Hadid. From the top, the view of the river Eno is extraordinary. Are you going to miss it?
Timetable
- Innsbruck-Hungerburg Cable Car: Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 7:15 pm. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8 am to 7:15 pm. Departures are every 15 minutes. The stop where you should get off to visit the Alpenzoo is Alps Zoo, halfway between Innsbruck and Hungerburg.
- Alpenzoo: open from November to March from 9 am to 5 pm and from April to October from 9 am to 6 pm.
