  • 5 reviews | 89 travellers
What a sweet experience! ️ Natalia has explained to us in detail the society of bees, their important work and the difficulties they are having today for the production of honey. A great professional who, without a doubt, is passionate about this world ️ The honey tasting has been a success, the different flavors depending on the area and the flowers that surround the bees are reflected in the production of their honey. Thank you for everything and bee careful

Icod de los Vinos Bee Farm Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Ecoalpispa bee farm, located in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos. Always wanted to learn how honey is produced? You've come to the right place!

To start the visit, we'll enter the bee farm's museum, a center that will serve as an introduction to the world of honey. We'll explain all the stages that are followed to obtain this product, from the hive to the packaging.

We'll also discuss the typical vegetation of Tenerife and how the nectar of the island's flowers influences the different aromas of the honey. Afterward, we'll visit the workshop, the honey extraction room and the laboratory, showing you how each area works, before giving you time to visit the bee farm's shop.

Then comes the best part: we'll head to the tasting room to sample several types of honey! We'll talk about the protected Miel de Tenerife denomination of origin while you enjoy the aromas and flavors of the different varieties.

After an hour and a half visit, the tour will conclude at the Ecoalpispa bee farm.

Visit to the bee farm & beehives

Want to extend your experience at the Ecoalpispa bee farm? If you choose this option, the visit will last two and a half hours. In addition to the honey tasting and access to the museum, this option also allows you to get up close to the hives and the bees. On the way to the hives, we'll also get some incredible views of the Teide.

Not only that, but you'll be able to wear beekeeper suits to see firsthand how bees are cared for and how these flying insects work daily to produce the most exquisite honey. A fascinating experience!
