Free Walking Tour of Huacachina
At 12 noon, we'll meet at the Balneario de Huacachina in front of the mermaid statue. Once we've all arrived, we'll set off on our tour and start learning all about Huacachina's history and legends.
We'll walk around the Huacachina Oasis, which has enchanted thousands of people due to its location in the middle of the desert of Ica. As we admire the lagoon, we'll observe the tropical palm trees surrounding it that create a striking contrast against the sand dunes.
Afterwards, we'll go to the Abraham Valdelomar Library, which houses a collection of over 10,000 works. This spot is a treasure trove of historic literature and houses an impressive bibliography of Ica and Peruvian history. Another place we'll visit during our free walking tour of Huacachina would be La Bodega, which is a fantastic spot to learn about local gastronomy.
During our visit, we'll show you how Peruvian pisco is made in this artisan winery and its museum. We'll also taste some different products, such as wine and pisco.
The finishing touch on our tour will be the viewpoint of the Huacachina Oasis, which is the perfect spot for admiring views of this Peruvian oasis.
Having spent 2 hours exploring Huacachina, our walking tour will come to an end back at the starting point.
