Nazca Archaeological Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ica at 6:30 am and we'll start our journey to Nazca, an hour and a half away.
On the way, we'll see the Cara del Inca, a rock formation with the appearance of a face located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Then, we'll stop at the Palpa Viewpoint, where the views of the Nazca Lines will leave you speechless!
At the next stop, we'll enter the Maria Reiche House Museum, one of the key researchers of the lines. Inside, we'll learn the most amazing stories about these mysterious drawings on the earth's surface.
We'll continue our experience in Nazca moving to kilometre 423 of the Panamericana Sur, where we'll find the second viewpoint of the Nazca Lines. After seeing these drawings in the middle of the desert, we'll visit the ruins of the Inca fortress Los Paredones. We'll find out how this impressive ancient fortress got its name!
Then, we'll continue travelling back in time to visit the Cantalloc aqueducts, a series of underground channels that were used to transport water in ancient times. Once we arrive in Nazca we'll take a break so that you can have lunch at your leisure.
With your batteries recharged, we'll head to the centre of Nazca to visit the House of Ceramics and see how ancient techniques were used to craft these fascinating artefacts.
We'll finish the tour between 5:30 pm and 6 pm at your hotel in Ica.
