On this visit to the Tacama hacienda and winery, we'll discover one of the leading wine tourism centres in Ica. You'll also enjoy a Peruvian wine tasting!

Description

We'll meet at the time of your choice at the entrance of the Tacama hacienda in Ica, where we'll first watch a short projection of the winery's history.

We'll then start the visit of the Tacama hacienda. You'll see the chapel, the patio, and the bell tower, which are decorated in the purest style of Peruvian coastal architecture. This monumental complex has become a true icon of Ica.

After touring the hacienda, we'll visit the Tacama winery to see for our own eyes how the different wines and piscos produced here are made. We'll visit the classic winery, the original one, and the modern production plant, which uses state-of-the-art machinery.

We'll go to the tasting room at the end of the visit, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours. There, you'll enjoy a tasting of Tacama wines, which will vary depending on the type of wine you choose.

Options

When booking your visit to the Tacama hacienda and winery, you can choose one of the following tasting options:

Tasting of traditional wine with a guide

In this option, the tour guide will accompany you on a tasting of 3 traditional Tacama wines, including a pisco tasting.

Tasting of traditional wine with a sommelier

If you choose this option, a Tacama sommelier will teach you how to distinguish the nuances of a sparkling wine, a red wine, a white wine, and a green must-pisco.

Tasting of high-end wine with a guide

Here, the tour guide will show you the characteristics of 3 premium wines and pisco in this option.

Tasting of high-end wine with a sommelier

This option is the most complete, as it includes the exclusive entrance to an underground cellar at a depth of 7.5 metres (24.6 feet), the only one of its kind in Peru.

In this cellar, you'll have a tasting of 2 Don Manuel premium wines and a Doña Ana premium wine with a sommelier from Tacama. As a pairing, a cheese board is also included.

Equestrian and marinera show

If you go to the winery on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 pm, 2 pm, and 2:30 pm, you'll enjoy a Peruvian horse show and a marinera. This typical Peruvian dance is very colourful.
