Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve Day Trip
Between 6 and 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ica and depart for the El Chaco pier in Paracas.
Once we arrive at this embarkation point, we'll embark on a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. While sailing through this area of the Pacific Ocean, we'll pass by iconic places such as the famous Candelabra, an enigmatic geoglyph extending nearly 560 feet (170 meters).
During the voyage, which will last approximately two hours, we'll also observe a great variety of native fauna such as Inca terns, boobies, seagulls, pelicans, red-legged cormorants and turkey vultures. We'll also get to see Humboldt penguins and sea lions!
We'll conclude the trip by returning to the El Chaco pier, where you'll have free time for breakfast or a stroll. We'll then head to the Paracas National Reserve, where we'll visit the viewpoints of La Catedral, Punta Santa María and Playa Roja. We'll also stop at Lagunilla Beach, where you can have lunch on your own, and at La Mina Beach.
Finally, at 16:30 we'll arrive back in Ica.
Options
If you want, you can complete your experience with one of the following options:
Paracas National Reserve by minibuggy
If you choose this option, we'll go through the Paracas National Reserve on minibuggies, and you'll drive the vehicles through this unique environment for two hours. Each minibuggy can accommodate up to two people.
At the end of the tour, you'll have free time for lunch at El Chaco pier, after which we'll pick you up to return to Ica at 4:30 pm.
Paracas National Reserve by quad
In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary as in the previous option, but we'll tour the Paracas National Reserve for two hours by quad. Please note that you will have to drive the vehicle, which only has a capacity for one person. Children may ride with their parents, but must be at least 5 years old.
Pickup
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Ica. If you are staying in a hotel far from the city (Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, Hotel Bodega El Huarango, among others), we'll pick you up at Plaza de Armas in Ica.
