Prado Dam Boat Tour
Tour Description
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ibagué at the indicated time and drive to the municipality of Prado, in Tolima. There, you'll be amazed by the Prado Dam, an impressive work of German and Japanese engineering. Did you know that it is also known as the inland sea of Colombia? We'll find out why!
We'll arrive at the banks of the Prado River, where the boat will be waiting for us. Ready to sail along the Prado Dam?
During the trip, we'll learn more about this hydraulic construction, which occupies 4,200 hectares (10,378 acres) of jungle in Tolima. We'll visit the impressive Cascada del Amor waterfall and the mysterious Cueva del Mohán cave, among other highlights. In addition, the boat will stop for a refreshing swim in the waters of the dam. If you wish, you can also rent a jet ski.
Afterwards, we'll return to the harbour to enjoy a typical lunch, including a main course and a drink, while you enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Feeling refuelled, depending on the weather conditions, we'll do some sport fishing or visit the waterfalls of the dam.
Finally, we'll return to Ibagué and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
