La Plata Waterfall Hike
At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ibagué and head north to La Plata Ecotourism Park.
Once we arrive at this natural space, we'll take a trail that will lead us through the most interesting points of the park. On our 4.5-mile (7.2 km) walk along the Combeima River, we'll pass by bridges, farms, and springs, until we reach our destination: the La Plata waterfall!
Did you know that this waterfall is the tallest in the Combeima Canyon? It measures 1,607 ft (490 meters)! In this enclave, nature, fresh air, tranquility, and beautiful scenery come together, creating the perfect environment for a day of total disconnection.
You'll have free time to get under the waterfall and visit La Platica, a charming, smaller waterfall near La Plata. After enjoying this beautiful spot, we'll have a snack and then walk back to the park entrance.
There, the bus will be waiting to take us back to Ibagué, arriving at your hotel around 12:30 pm.
