Day Trip to Arroz National Park
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ibagué at the designated time and begin our journey towards the Arroz National Park.
We'll arrive at the hacienda La Guaira, run by a family that has been specialising in Tolimense rice since 1977. On this farm, they have worked to boost the industry of the world's most consumed food and given visibility to one of the most important secrets in all of Colombia.
On the premises, we'll get to enjoy the landscapes, see the crops, explore hidden waterfalls, and even take a dip in the Alvarado River. We'll also hop onto an authentic transguaira, a rice tractor that will allow us to explore the field, and find out the most interesting facts about rice processing at the hands of an expert farmer.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch, made up of rice, a salad, a fillet, juice, and dessert. After eating, you'll get to rest in the hacienda's hammocks while you listen to the peaceful sounds of the river.
This day trip to the Arroz National Park will come to an end back at your hotel in Ibagué after a total of 7.5 hours.
