When booking your boat trip in the bay of Hyères, you can choose between a sunrise or sunset cruise. Both activities last two hours and have an English and French-speaking captain:
Sunrise cruise
As soon as we set sail from Hyères, we'll begin to see the sunrise over the bay of this beautiful town in Provence. First, we'll cruise towards the Îles d'Hyères, also known as the Golden Isles, passing by the islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Levant.
From the boat, we'll enjoy the first light of dawn over this archipelago in southeastern France. We'll also skirt the coasts of the bay of Badine and the Giens Peninsula while we have a snack on board.
As an added bonus on the way back to the starting point, fisherman Gégé will show us how to change a fishing net. He'll also tell us all about the different types of fresh fish caught in this area of the French coast.
After a two-hour boat ride, we'll return to Hyères, where you'll have the opportunity to attend the morning fish auction at the fish market on your own.
Schedule: runs Saturdays and Sundays, departing between 6:15 and 6:30 am.
Sunset cruise
On this special trip, we'll enjoy a peaceful sunset cruise, during which we'll see how the last rays of the sun gradually tinge the coast of Hyères with tones of orange and scarlet. It'll be an unforgettable sunset!
From the deck of the boat, we'll witness the beautiful process of night falling over the Giens Peninsula and the bay of Almanarre. We'll also take in magnificent views of the Tour Fondue and the islands of Porquerolles, Petit and Grand Ribaud.
To accompany us as we admire these stunning landscapes, we'll enjoy a selection of local products including wine, anchovies and a typical crushed olive paste called tapenade.
We'll conclude this two-hour cruise by returning to the starting point.
Schedule: runs every day, departing between 6:30 and 7 pm.
