Whale Watching by Sailboat
Whale Watching by Sailboat
Ready to set sail in search of whales? We'll meet at the scheduled time in Húsavík Harbour and board an elegant schooner that will take us on a cruise around the bay of Skjálfandi.
We'll feel like true 18th-century sailors as we feel the sea breeze from the deck of this impressive sailing ship. We'll also get to learn how the crew works on this type of boat!
You'll be enchanted by the spectacular views of the Icelandic coast but keep your eyes peeled! When you least expect it, the first whales will appear. Their sheer size will leave you in awe! If we're lucky, we'll be able to hear their calls and watch as water spurts from their blow holes. We'll also hear fascinating facts about these incredible creatures as we watch them swim, jump and play.
What's more, as we sail around northern Iceland, we'll also get to see the seabirds that inhabit the region and maybe even dolphins too! To warm us up during the cruise, we'll also enjoy a delicious hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll - the perfect treat.
Our activity will come to an end back at the original departure point in Húsavík after 3 hours.
