Cycling in Thuy Bieu and Hue
We'll kick things off by picking you up at your hotel in Hue. Then, on our bikes, we'll head to the Imperial City to discover a citadel built in 1805 that houses the oldest monuments of Hue.
First up, we'll visit the Hien Lam Pavilion and the 9 dynastic urns, decorated with elaborate details of flowers and Vietnamese symbology. We'll discover the meaning of the figures and head to The Mieu Temple. Get your cameras ready!
Next up, we'll admire the Theater, Garden and Royal Library buildings. You're sure to be captivated by the number of dragons and golden shades adorning the buildings, everywhere you look. We'll continue our bike route in search of the Thien Miu Pagoda, also called the Pagoda of the Heavenly Lady. Fun fact, it's the oldest pagoda in Hue!
From here, we'll take our bikes aboard a boat, from where we'll sail along the Perfume River to Thuy Bieu. Once there, we'll hop on our bikes again and ride through the narrow streets of this village. We'll visit small incense and joss paper factories and even meet a family of paper painters.
Next stop? We'll stop at a local family's home for a Vietnamese cooking class, after which we'll sit down together for a home cooked lunch. An all-encompassing experience!
To end the bike tour on a high note, we'll relax with a foot massage where we'll soak our feet in medicinal herbal waters, one of the most traditional therapeutic practices in Thuy Bieu!
Finally, we'll start our return trip and say goodbye at your hotel in Hue 6 to 7 hours after pickup.
