Dark Caves Adventure Tour
Itinerary
The tour of Phong Nha-Ke Bang begins first thing in the morning when we pick you up from your accommodation in Hue.
Then we take a bus which takes us to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park. Over the four hour journey, we'll pass by places of great historical importance, such as the Quang Tri demilitarised zone.
Then our route continues to the La Vang Basilica, where we'll be able to see the most important Catholic place of worship in the country. Then we'll stop at lunchtime in Xuan Son, to try some local food in one of its traditional restaurants.
Then in the afternoon comes the adventure. Prepared with equipment and instructions, we take off on a zip line, feeling the speed and the adrenaline as we see the mountains and the River Chay below.
The once the zip line is over, we'll explore the Dark Cave (Hang Toi). Well equipped, we'll enter this grotto, so named for a reason: over its six kilometres, there is no artificial light whatsoever. Then we'll cover ourselves in the cave mud, taking advantage of the wonders it can do for your skin, and relax with a dip in the lake found inside the cave: Thuy Tien.
The fun doesn't stop there: we'll keep it in the water, but in this case, it's the River Chay. We'll climb aboard kayaks to paddle down the river, with games and activities included to complete this day full of adventures.
Finally, we take the bus back to Hue after 13 hours of adventure.
