La Ventanilla Beach Winter Solstice Ceremony
Experience a Mexican Winter Solstice Ceremony
December 20
At 4 pm we'll pick you up at your hotel in Huatulco for a trip to La Ventanilla beach. Welcome to the wonderful winter solstice ceremony!
Once we arrive at our destination, they will explain to us what the celebration of the solstice is all about. In the northern hemisphere, it marks the change of season and the length of the nights, but in this town on the Oaxacan coast, it means the iconic beginning of a new cycle.
The shaman will guide us through a unique ritual, sharing the importance of this ceremony and its cultural impact. As well as that, on the beach, we'll release a turtle into the sea to the rhythm of the drums, bidding farewell to the sun with music and welcoming the longest night of the year. It will be an unrepeatable moment!
6 hours later, we'll take you back to your hotel in Huatulco.
