Huatulco Food Tour

At 10 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Huatulco. If you feel like getting to know the flavours and traditions of Mexico, you're in the right place!

We'll travel to Piedra de Moros, a small community near Huatulco, perfect for discovering the culture and traditions of the Mexican people. When we arrive in Piedra de Moros, we'll first visit a herbalist's shop, where we'll learn about the importance of medicinal plants in the culture of this part of the country.

We'll visit the plantation where we'll learn about each medicinal plant cultivated in the community, as well as which illnesses they cure and the different uses of each plant.

With all this knowledge learned, we'll approach the kitchens and the culinary moment of the day will arrive. We'll learn how to cook corn tortillas and bread in the traditional way. We'll also enjoy a refreshing lemon grass tea and discover the nutritional properties of the nopal cactus.

Finally, we'll visit a mezcal factory to learn about the distillation process used to make this traditional Oaxacan drink. To complete the tour, we'll taste different mezcals and creams accompanied by typical products of the region.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Huatulco and conclude the tour at approximately 2 pm.
