Tour to Honcopampa + Chancos Thermal Baths
Tour to Honcopampa + Chancos Thermal Baths
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Huaraz at 9 am and embark on a journey to Honcopampa, an archaeological complex that belonged to the Andean Wari civilization.
After 1 hour and 15 minutes of driving, we'll arrive at this site located in the Cordillera Blanca. There, we'll explore its remains to learn about the Wari culture and burial rituals. We'll also see the chullpas, or funerary towers, of Honcopampa, which were erected only for people of high status.
Next, we'll walk to the magnificent Yurac Yacu waterfalls, where we can marvel at the spectacular cascade of the Aquilpo Gorge. After enjoying this paradisiacal spot, we'll make a stop for you to have lunch on your own.
To conclude the excursion, we'll head to the Chancos Thermal Baths, where you can bathe in waters with medicinal properties. You'll have about 2 hours to relax and unwind in this place.
Finally, we'll end the tour by arriving back in Huaraz between 5 and 6 pm.
