Private Lake Churup Hike
PrivateLake Churup Hike
At 7 am we'll meet at 710 Calle Jirón 29 de Julio, in Huaraz and travel for three hours to the village of Pitec, in the heart of Huascaran National Park.
When we arrive in the village we'll start to climb through different trails to reach our destination. The ascent will take approximately four hours along rocky roads while admiring the Shaqsha and Cashan mountains, which belong to the Cordillera Blanca.
As we reach Lake Churup, located at 4485 meters (14700 feet) of altitude, we'll see the impressive Churup peak, which stands out for its curious geology. There you'll have free time to eat lunch while you enjoy this Andean paradise.
We'll start to descend the ravine until we reach Pitec, where we'll get into the car to return to Huaraz. The arrival at your meeting point is scheduled between 4 and 5 pm.
