Hiking Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Huaraz. We'll travel in a comfortable vehicle through typical Andean villages until we reach Pitec, which is located at 3,850 meters (12631 feet) above sea level.
Once we arrive, we'll admire impressive views of some of the most important snow-capped peaks of the Huascaran National Park, such as Vallunaraju, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca, Rimarima, San Juan, and Churup, our next destination!
We'll start the trekking route along the ridge that begins in Pitec. During the hike, we'll pass through some steep sections, where we'll have to use ropes to help us on the ascent. But don't worry! The guide will help us on this 2-hour route.
Finally, we'll reach the Churup Lagoon, located at the foot of the snow-capped mountain of the same name. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy the views and rest in the surrounding area. Then, we'll start the walk back to Pitec, where the minibus will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz.
The excursion will finish by dropping you back off at your hotel after a total of around 9 hours.
