We'll begin our scenic drive and on the way, we'll stop off at Greenworld Coffee Farm for a tasty breakfast to gather energy for our hike before continuing to the trailhead. Welcome to Waimea Valley!
Upon arrival, you'll be immediately captivated by the lush green surroundings. On this guided 2.4-kilometre hike (1.5 miles), we'll walk at a leisurely pace through forests and streams. With each step through the Hawaiian wilderness, the valley's deep-rooted significance as a sanctuary for Hawaiian spirituality and traditions will be revealed to us.
Throughout the tour, our expert guide will share some captivating insights and interesting facts about the valley's rich history, offering us a deeper appreciation for its cultural heritage and many stunning natural wonders. We'll discover some true hidden gems and breathtaking views, as the sheer beauty of Waimea Valley unfolds before our eyes.
After hiking for some time, we'll arrive at the Waimea Waterfall. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the fall's waters. After a swim and taking in the tropical environment, we'll head over to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by nature.
Then, we'll begin our journey back to the starting point. On the way, we'll make a pit stop at the Dole Plantation, where you'll learn all about pineapple cultivation on the island and get the chance to indulge in some pineapple-themed treats.
Then, after 8 hours together, we'll arrive back in the city and bring this Waimea Waterfall hike to an end. A hui hou!
Please Note
Being able to swim at the Waimea Waterfall will depend on the conditions of the waterfall on the day of the activity. The local lifeguards will determine whether or not it's safe to swim at 9 am each day.
