Learn all about an important chapter of American history on this private tour of Pearl Harbor and Honolulu's old town. Explore the visitor center and the USS Arizona Memorial.
Tour Details
At your chosen time, we'll meet at the reception of your hotel in Honolulu. As this is a private tour, you'll decide the time you'd like to start exploring Pearl Harbor.
We'll begin with a 2-hour tour of Honolulu's historic old town and admire the city's main monuments. Among them, we'll see the Hawaii Capitol, Iolani Palace, the City Hall, and the Statue of King Kamehameha where they filmed part of the Hawaii 5.0.
After this guided tour, we'll head to Pearl Harbor so you can learn and understand what happened on December 7th, 1941. On this date, a surprise attack by the Japanese Empire provoked the United States' entry into World War II the following day. You may have already seen movies or TV shows and read books on Pearl Harbor, but nothing compares to visiting the site itself.
You'll head inside the Pearl Harbor Visitor Centre where you'll tour the museum about the military strike with the help of an audio guide, and you'll also watch a documentary with footage of the attack. You'll then head to the USS Arizona Memorial, which you'll get to via the shuttle boats to the museum built on top of the ship that sank in December 1941.
Having spent 4 hours discovering the history of Pearl Harbor, we'll return to the starting point.
Additional Info
Please note that the Honolulu private tour will be led by a live guide. However, at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the USS Arizona Memorial, the guide won’t be able to accompany you, but you'll receive an audio guide to use during your visit.
