Macau Day Trip
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Hong Kong and head by road to Macau, a Portuguese colony until 1999 and the last European land in the East.
After approximately 3 hours, we'll arrive in Macau and continue our route to one of its worldwide famous casinos: The Venetian Macau. Did you know that Macau is also known as the East Las Vegas? We'll uncover the history of this casino and give you time to try your luck inside.
Then, we'll head to the statue dedicated to Kum Iam, the Goddess of Mercy. After admiring this 20 metre (65 foot) tall statue, we'll take a break at the restaurant of the Old Hotel Central, where we'll enjoy a delicious buffet-style lunch.
With our stomachs full, we'll continue to tour of Macau by visiting the ruins of St. Paul and the Na Cha Chinese-style temple. Plus, we'll pass through Senada Square, right in the historical centre of the city.
Our next stop will be the Macau Tower, designed by the New Zealand architect Gordon Moller which, at 330 metres (1,080 foot) tall, is thought to be one of the tallest towers in the world.
To top off this tour, we'll explore A-Ma Temple, a World Heritage Site and one of the most famous Taoist sanctuaries in the world.
Finally, we'll head to Macau Port, where we'll catch a ferry back to Hong Kong. From here, we'll take you back to your accommodation and end this 12 hour day trip.
