Day Trip to Bariay National Monument
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Holguin in a classic car and set off for the Bariay National Monument Park. After a 1-hour drive, we'll reach our destination and be greeted with coconut water and a typical Cuban coffee.
"The most beautiful land that human eyes would have seen." These were the words that Christopher Columbus said when he arrived on October 28, 1492. We'll discuss this historical event as we admire the monument erected in commemoration, featuring neoclassical ruins and replicas of aboriginal objects. This monument is a unique representation of the meeting of the two cultures and offers exceptional views of Jururú and Bariay Bay.
Afterward, we'll go to a local's house to learn about the area's traditions. Then, we'll take a 45-minute horse and carriage ride through Bariay Park, where we'll discover the vegetation of the coast, the microphyll forest, and the mangrove areas of the Cuban Atlantic.
Continuing our tour, we'll enjoy a show representing Aborigine culture. After the show, you'll have 2 hours of free time on Bariaya Beach, Esmeralda Beach, Pesquero Beach, or Guardalavaca Beach. You can choose whichever beach you like the most! During this time, you'll have the chance to take a refreshing dip and enjoy the lunch you've brought.
Finally, we'll return to Holguin, where the arrival at your hotel is scheduled 6 hours after pickup.
