Immerse yourself in the beautifully wild natural landscapes of the Mexican Caribbean with this paddleboard tour in Holbox. Discover incredible wildlife on this fun activity!
Description
When making your reservation, you'll have the choice of two different paddleboard tours in Holbox. Both depart from Paseo Kuka and include stand-up paddleboard equipment rental and an English-speaking guide. Check out the itineraries of each tour below:
Río Kuka Mangroves (3 hours)
With this option, we'll set off on a unique 8 kilometre paddleboard tour through the mangroves along the Kuka River. As we paddle, we'll see large nests of ospreys, herons, frigate birds and pelicans.
We're also likely to see raccoons scurrying along the banks and, if we're lucky, we'll spot the king of reptiles, the crocodile. Crocodiles are often found along the riverbanks, so be careful!
Río Kuka Mangroves & Punta Mosquito (5 hours)
This tour follows the same route as the previous one, but once we have finished our tour of the mangroves of Holbox, we'll paddleboard to Punta Mosquito. This coastal area is a protected nature reserve because of the bird species that live there, including terns, plovers, peregrine falcons, and American flamingos. At the end of this tour, we'll arrive back at the starting point having completed a 13 kilometre paddleboarding route.
Schedule
The schedule for the paddle surfing activity is as follows:
