Maya Full Moon Ceremony
Maya Full Moon Ceremony
At 8 pm we'll meet at the indicated starting point in Holbox and head to the beach where the Maya Full Moon Ceremony will take place. Are you ready for an experience you'll never forget?
When we arrive, we'll be welcomed by the shaman in charge of carrying out the ritual for this special night. Once the introductions have been made, they'll explain the different steps of the full moon ceremony.
Did you know that the Maya people called the moon Ixchel? Our spiritual guide will tell us how important the moon was for this ancient civilisation and the beliefs that revolved around it as the goddess of love, gestation, medicine and textile work.
Illuminated by torches and with a background of rhythmic music, the shaman will help you connect with the beauty of the environment, the moon, the sea and nature. Are you ready for an inner journey in search of spirituality?
After this magical ritual, we'll finish the activity with a kayak trip on the calm waters of Holbox island, enjoying the beauty of this Mexican Caribbean paradise under the starry sky.
At 10 pm we'll head back to the meeting point.
