At the appointed time we'll meet on Rua Campo do Pouso to start this fun bike tour of Holambra. Get ready to fall in love with this charming flower-filled town!
The name Holambra is an acronym for the words Holland, Latin America and Brazil. Throughout this 8.7-mile (14-kilometer) bike tour, we'll tell you all kinds of curiosities about this town founded by Dutch immigrants.
After adjusting our helmets, we'll get to pedaling and make our first stop at the Deck do Amor, where we'll see its collection of love locks left behind by smitten couples. Did you know that it's inspired by the iconic Pont des Arts in Paris?
Next, we'll head to Rua dos Umbrellas, the city's colorful umbrella street - a must-see for any visit to Holambra!
We'll also pass by Moinho Povos Unidos, the perfect example of the traditional windmills of Holland. After a brief stop here, we'll continue the bike tour to the charming square of Praca da Cachoeira. Next, we'll head over to Van Gogh Park.
Our last stop will be at the city's famous flower farm, Fazenda das Flores, where we'll tour its plantations and learn about the cultivation and harvesting of the different species while we soak up the spectacular surrounding landscape.
Three hours later, we'll return to the starting point, where the cycling tour of Holambra will conclude.
