Vietnamese Cooking Class
Vietnamese Cooking Class
We will come and collect you from your hotel between 8 and 8:15 am - and we get our delicious day started!
First thing's first, we'll have to buy the raw produce. To do this, along with the English speaking cookery teacher, we will visit the colourful market of Hoi An to choose, first-hand, the produce that we'll cook later on.
Taken in by the aromas and fascinated by the colours of the market stalls and the food, we'll peruse around the market as if we were locals, while also learning more about local cuisine and recipes.
And come 9 am, we'll climb aboard a traditional boat, taking us to the village of Cam Thanh. Crossing a cocoa forest we'll finally arrive at the village where the class takes place.
Then, hand in hand with a local chef, we'll prepare some traditional Vietnamese dishes, and some of Hoi An's most characteristic recipes: stir fried pork and vegetables, bánh xèo (a kind of asian crepe), pho, and spring rolls - all depending on seasonality.
When everything is ready, we'll sit down to enjoy the dishes that we've cooked as well as those prepared by the expert chef who has taken us on this unique culinary experience.
Finally, we'll head back to the hotels of Hoi An - arriving at around 1:30 pm.
